Me in the paper..again!

Yeah, you have probably started wondering if Helsingborg doesn't have anyone else to write about?! :) But this is the third time since I moved here that I'm in the newspaper. The first time was in the school paper. The second in City Helsingborg. And now the newest one is from last Sunday in Helsingborgs Dagblad about Fathers Day. They asked me and my friend last Wednesday when we were at Ikea.

Here is the link (in Swedish).

This weekend's happenings

Here are some pictures of this weekend. Or they actually start last Thursday when I worked in the bar at the student pub called Villan (The Villa).

Oskar (yes there are two Oscars), our teamleader :p

During last Friday, Kasper and I watched the no 5 and 6 Harry Potter movies because we are going on the premiere on Wednesday so we needed an update! No pictures of that..

Yesterday we went to a tapas bar in Helsingborg together with Ida and her boyfriend Martin, Hanna, Jennifer and Maria. Afterwards we went to a bar called Mogwai for some drinks..

These two pictures pretty much describes one part of the evening. A lot of text-sending with other peoples phones ;)

This weekend's happenings

This Friday all the girls came and we had taco-night with nachos, fajitas, Coronas and everything that goes with it.

Yesterday (Saturday) started with brunch at Brooklyn together with Benjamin and Janni visiting from Denmark. We then showed them Helsingborg, who had decided to be on the good side and showed us some sun and beautiful colors on the trees. We then went to Väla shopping center outside Helsingborg and Kasper and I found some jars for tea and some other stuff (in a separate post). After a nice dinner of parmesan breaded halibut with avocado, rucola and sprouts, and my Swedish apple pie with ice cream, Kasper and I said farewell to the Danes and went clubbing with the gang.

Today, I bit tired and confused of the time change (winter time) Kasper, Charlie and I went to the forest and I got some pictures with my new phone.

Some more autumn pictures

Today we went for a long walk together with some friends, walking in Pålsjöskogen (the Pålsjö forest) and then along the sea back home. We stopped for a muffin, doughnut and a Pucko (the name of a chocolate milk drink) and after two hours in the chilly weather we went home for some soup and tea.

A lovely day in lovely Helsingborg

Today, Kasper and I went for some window shopping and to run some errands. It was lovely weather even though it is starting to get cold here; we had around 8 deg today! We had really good sushi for lunch and came home with a lot more than we planned..

Sushi at Fuji. We had spicy tuna maki, fried prawn maki, salmon and spicy tuna nigiri

Bought some tea at Tea Days. All green tea; one with guara, pinapple and papaya, one with ginger and lemon and one with sweet berries.

I also bought..:
..IsaDora nail polish nr 144 "Icy Nougat" The IsaDora polishes are on sale in H&M, only 39sek

..a new autumn jacket in blue from H&M (only 300sek! about 30€)

..a long black knitted top with a big turtleneck

Kasper got a new jacket aswell, two scarfs, gloves and some other stuff. After our shopping session we went home to get Charlie the dog and then went to Fredriksdalsskogen (the forest) to enjoy the last sun (this time I brought my camera).

Playing in the rain

Since I alreday had decided yesterday that I today was going to take Charlie the dog for a long walk in the forest before school, there was no turning back when I woke up and saw that it poured down rain..
So we got dressed up like kindergarden children with rainboots (well not Charlie) and rainwear, and headed out.

It's actually nice to be in the forest when it's raining, because the trees protect you. Also, there are no runners or old couples that Charlie potentially could trap with his long leash. He searched for rabbits, we took a look at Olympia and Fredriksdal, met kinder garden children and played in puddles.

This was Charlie this morning in bed. The Killer Dog!
(Or it was just his lip that had stuck on the tooth)

Helsingborg

After our week in Denmark with silver wedding, smal trips and meeting friends, it was finaly time for moving over to the other side of Öresund (the sound between Denmark and Sweden).
We had gotten our things from Barcelona and after collecting and filling the truck with as much things as possible from the Copenhagen apartment, we went with the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg.

Bye Bye Denmark (Kronborg castle in Helsingør)

Going with the ferry. Kasper's dad, Kasper and Charlie the dog

Hello Helsingborg!

For about 10 days we lived with no furniture, because they were still in the Copenhagen apartment. Well we had bought a new bed and we had our balcony table and chairs from Barcelona, so we managed ;) But then 10 days later we went back to Denmark to collect the last things and filled up an other truck with stuff. The following days we spent unpacking, going back and forth to IKEA and orginazing in the basement. Since we had had a leak in the basement in Copenhagen where a lot of things had been distroyed, we now have nothing on the floor! All my "old" books, that I had planned to sell from veterinary-school were distroyed.. Thousands of Dansih crowns just thrown away.. :(

In between everything, we have been exploring Helsingborg and doing walks with Charlie the dog. Helsingborg is one of Scandinavias oldest cities, dating back to the vikings (10th century).
