Christmas nails #3: Snowmen, Santa, bells...

Here comes this week's Christmas nails! Not that long til it's Christmas now, I will show you one more after this mani, which will be the one I'll be wearing for Christmas eve.

I used Kiko Pearly Dark Copper (no 224) that I bought last time in Barcelona. It's a coppery dark brown shimmer polish:

It covered in two coats and was easy to apply, here without top coat. I then stamped with almost all prints on Konad plate m12 and Konad white special polish. I then did the same prints on the other hand.

Christmas tree, bells, Santa, Snowman

Merry Christmas!

I got some smearing (again!) but I like the mani and love the color of this Kiko.

Christmas nails #1: Candy canes

I thought of doing different Christmas designs for the nails during December and maybe so give some inspiration to someone?

This weekend I tried a new polish, Depend no 175. I was in the airport and was going to choose one of those girl magazines that's really contains the same; fashon, make-up and sex. But then there was one in which you got a nailpolish as a gift and so it wasn't that hard to choose! :D

Anyway, the polish is a red cream polish which covered in two coats and was very easy to apply. I then put some candy cane-stripes over in white and stamped some candy canes from plate m12 on the ringfingers.

Unfortunaly I was a bit to quick to apply the top coat so I got some smearing, but it can only be seen up close.

Last weeks mani x2

After the last couple of weeks with purple I wanted something different so I chose IsaDora Icy Nougat I bought some weeks ago. I needed 3 coats for it to cover and you can see the brush strokes on some nails, but it dried fast so I could use Konad on top.

The name really matches the color, it looks like a icy nougat!

I then used half of a print on the m79 plate to do a French with a pattern (I know, the pinky finger got messed up..)

For the weekend I wantedet something with some mor power and color, so I chose a Kiko polish I bought in the very beginning of this blog that I haven't wore yet. And so I was back to the purple..:

Kiko Galactic nr 278 "Microglitter dark orchid"

I needed 3 coats for it to look like in the bottle, but the golden shimmer/glitter that you can see in the bottle doesn't show on the nail.. I then used some of the butterfly and flower stickers I got from VivaLaNails:

Last weeks mani x2

Last weekend I wanted to try out one of the Depend polishes that I bought when my parents were here. I chose Depend nr 029; a purple shimmer polish. Or at least it looks purple in the bottle, but I found it more pink when on the nail. I used the ribbon in white from plate m59 on top.

It was a bit hard to adjust the ribbon to the middle of the nail, but the left had turned out ok.

I didn't really like the look though, a bit too girly and cute. So I put the Isadora polish I bought last week on top of the old mani:

Isadora 630 Sweet Violet

This one was a lot more like me. Darker and with a lovely purple shimmer, and I only needed one coat for it to cover the nail. It has the exact same color as our new towels (even though the camera made the towel pale!?). I think it will look good with a white Konad stamp on top, but I kept as it was this time.

Last weeks mani

Here are some pictures of the manicure I wore last week. I used an "old" H&M polish that I haven't used in 2 years or so, together with white dots from Konad plate m79.

I'm glad that I kept this polish even if I thought two years ago that it was too dark and that it turned out more blue than I hoped. Because now I love it! Sometimes it looks a bit blue, other more purple and if you look close it is full with microglitter. The stamping this time was a bit tricky and some dots got divided.. But I liked the overall result; a darker polish with a cute finish.

H&M Mad about you

Because I always do my nails infront of the TV in the evenings, there are no sun to capture the microglitter, but if you enlarge the pic to the right you can see some on the ring finger nail.

Have a great week!

A girls night home; cheese, wine and nail polishes!

Yesterday the girls and I gathered at my place to eat cheese, drink wine and to do nails. I introduced Konad to them and we had a great evening (eventhoug my tummy hurted after all the cheese..) chatting, discussing and painting. Here are some pictures:

All kindes of different cheeses, crackers, grapes, nachos, guacamole..

Brie, crackers, pepper fruit, crostini

This is one of my friends mani. She used the same Laka i used here, and stamped a white flower on top.

I tried out the new Konad plate with French nailtips on on one of my friends. It was a bit hard to adjust and to get it even, but the border turned out really nice.

Black Konad hearts on top of Kiko nr 251 (?)

Lovely on the thumb
And last a zebra pattern! Black Depend base and white Konad on top

My last weeks mani will come in a separate blog post.

Trying out the eBay stuff (last weeks mani)

And of course I had to try out the new stuff! This is what I did and also last weeks mani. I used the same black Depend as I did about two weeks ago. I then used the leopard pattern on plate 59 with the new gold polish I bought.

Plate 57 with animal prints and plate 59 with rosettes/loops

Last weeks mani

Last week I continued on the darker colors, by choosing one of the Laka polishes I got from Dina and her family as a goodbye gift when I moved from Barcelona.

This is Laka nr 35. It's really hard to describe this color, but it's a tupe with a hint of purple.

I then stamped with flowers from Konad plate nr 20

I really liked this color and will defintitely wear it again during the fall and winter.

Monday Manicure

Last week I tried out a mani that I have had on my toes earlier. But since feets are not very nice to look at and read about in blogs, I didn't show it. But when on my hands it looked much better! Here it is:

I used Kiko nr 282 (to the right) as a base and then put two layers of another Kiko (nr 248 ), that is quite sheer and has a lot of glitter in it, on top (to the left).
With flash.

Without flash

When Kasper and I were at a big shopping centre outside Helsingborg, called Väla, this weekend, I found Depend nailpolishes at Cubus for 2 for 39sek! (4€!). The bottles are small, only 5ml, but eh it's cheap! I came home with these four:

Nr .136 a light pink with shimmer.
Nr. 197 a light light blue, almost gray, cream from the summer collection
Nr. 190 a medium pink with a lot of shimmer and small glitter.
Nr. 30 a classic black

I had to try out one, so this week I will wear the light blue:

Here with Kiko Shiny Top Coat

I then added a Konad flower from plate 20.
