Here's a video clip, when talking about books, that might bring some nostalgia to the Swedes.

3 days of parties with pictures!
Wow, a week without the blog, how did that happen?!
Anyways, I have so much to show you and so little time to write.. The last weekend was a busy busy weekend with a lot of parties and fun! It started last Thursday with the last Thursday pub for the year at Villan (student place). I don't have any pictures from that night except my eye makeup that Jennie helped me with:
Light pink eyeshadow, a looot of eyeliner
Then last Friday, there was a dinner and party for those who had been comitted to the Agora student association, which Johanna and I had through their event committee. The dinner and party was held on the same night as the Nobel dinner in Stockholm, so the theme for the night was of course Nobel. We all dressed up and got a 3 course dinner, drinks and wine, awards where given and a lot of entertainment. For example the award in physics where given to someone with extraordenary dance moves ;) Here are some pics (as usually, click to enlarge):
Decorations. Starter (toast Skagen). Johanna and I + Josefin
Of course the king and queen were there ;) And yes there was bag-in-box wine standing on the tables, yes I had one next to me, yes that is me with the bags in the boxes and no I wasn't that drunk
Last Saturday was the grand finale of a three day fiesta for some of us. That evening was the party for those who have been working in the pub during the semester or that had been comitted to other activities of Stampus (an other student association). The theme for the night was professions and each bar team was assigned one. We got housewife/househusband/curling parent. Johanna, Jennie and I went for the fifties housewives with dresses, aprons and red lips! Other were assigned doctor/nurse/patiens, police/spy/army, pimps&hoos, circus etc. Here are some pictures:

Today
The singer from the Swedish group Sugarplum fairy played in our school today during lunch break. I made a video with my mobile but you can't hear the sing because of everyone close to me talking.. Anyway, he is the little brother to one of the singers in Mando Diao (just FYI). You might have heard the song Sweet Jackie.
This is at Stortorget (The Big Square) in Helsingborg on my way home from school:
Giant chistmas tree
Hm you can't really see it, but they had put candles in the stairs under Kärnan that looked like a ribbon (you know one of those fight breast cancer or aids ones)
Other that that, I have just been studying.. Exam coming up on Friday! After that I will have my life back :)

The Positive Day
Yesterday we had something called "The Positive Day" at uni. It started with people giving you candy and small notes with compliments when arriving to school.
In the afternoon we gathered for a session with a life coach, talking about seeing life "with green glasses". We then had a skrattyoga (laughter yoga) and the instructor told us that a 100 laughs gives you the same workout as 30min at the gym! In between the two sessions we got a lot of snacks and cake, and it all ended at a place called The Tivoli, where we got to see Özz Nûjan (a Swedish stand-up comedian)!
I have never seen a stand-up show live before but it was just so much fun.
Cutie-pie friends
Özz being all over the stage
I don't think I ever have laughed so much in one evening!

Yeah, that was my day yesterday. Started out with blogging then going to the gym. Lunch and taking Charlie for a walk in the forest. Then the girls called and we went for a fika at Mezo. Came home and made dinner. And then it was Äntligen Hemma on TV..

Back on track!
Nothing interesting has happened--> nothing interesting to blog about --> no blogposts..
Yeah, my life has been quite boring the last couple of days. Since Monday I, together with my group, have been working on a case in school that has to be handed in tomorrow. So basicly I get up, work on the case, walk Charlie, work on the case, go to bed.
Together with this, Charlie the dog has been ill. It started last Thursday night with vomiting, bad stomach this weekend, and this Monday he needed to go out 4 times during one night.. Poor me, poor Charlie.
But finaly the case is handed in and it looks like (fingers crossed) that Charlie is feeling better, so back to reality! At least one good thing has happend; I got a new mobile phone! I finaly decided to go for the SonyEricsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro (puh long name, why name a mobile like that!?) in black. The pro is the one with a keyboard on the side. So far I like it alot; it is easy to write on and the touch-screen works fine.
Here are some crapy pictures of it (sorry, no energy to get up from the sofa and take pictures in light..)

Some shopping..
Yes you guessed right, more polishes!! But also some other stuff :) Eyeko has some great prices right now in their webshop, where you get polishes for 3,5£/4€! And if you buy for more than 12€ you get the Vampira for free! Also the shipping is for free and you don't have to pay customs in EU. And isn't the name cute or what?
I got:
Vintage Polish - For Elegant Nails. A light green cream
Indigo Polish - For Sultry Nails. Dark blue with blue microglitter
Vampira Polish - For Gothic Nails. A black polish with red microglitter
I also went past H&M today on my way home (this was before I knew that the package with the Eyeko had arrived), and got an other of the Isadora polishes that are on sale right now. This time I bought a purple with purple shimmer called Sweet Violet (nr 630).
Also, today I got a package from H&M with some stuff I had ordered from their webshop some weeks ago (of course all the things I had ordered came the same day!). I ordered a knitted scarf in petrol blue:
(yes I have to clean the mirror..)
I also got a top, but not sure if I'm going to keep it, so if I do, you will see it then ;)
And I also got this today:
What a lovely thing to spend almost 300sek (30€) on! I'm so excited too read this one (it says Our Economy)! Feel the irony..

Pirates, Chess, The Oscars....
Yes I'm alive! But only bearly.. This first 2 weeks at university have been so intense! Together with normal classes during the day and intro-activites during the evenings (and nights..) we had to read 450 pages in 1½ week and yesterday we had our first exam! To manage to do normal human-stuff lite eating, walking the dog, showering and sleeping, you had to be faster than the light and have at least eight arms.. ;) But I survived and have already a lot of good memories from my time in uni!
As I told you last time, the first evening we had a pub-crawl. The theme for the night was Musical Monday, so my group decided to go with Chess. We all showed up in black and white, but some were bishops (in Sweden they are "runners"), other king and queen, we had a horse (yeah, that's what we call the knights), two towers (rooks) and the rest of us where "farmers" (pawns). Before the pub-crawl, your group were supposed to write a song and sing it for Novicheriet (the ones who had arranged the whole week). We came in 2nd place!!
Everyone standing like in a game of chess. Black and white pawns.
The next evening, it was Bollywood Tuesday. We all tried to find some clothes that looked Indian. That day was the Helsingborg-race. Each group got a paper with riddles that where places in Helsingborg. When finding out which place they ment, you were supposed to go to that place and take a photo infront of it. When all 20 places where found and photgraphed, you should return to the starting point. The group that had the most right answers and the best time, got points in the total competition of the week. Our group came in 2nd place! (out of 17 groups).

Infront of the cinema
The day after that we had Fantasy/Sci Fi-Wednesday. We decided to go for Pirates of the Caribbean and everyone made a little ship of a moving-box. That evening we did something that is called "touring" (tura), that is going with the ferry between Helsingborg (Sweden) and Helsingør (Denmark) back and forth. We went 5 times I think, before we got of in Helsingør and went to a club called Retro.
The group
Then there was an other party that I didn't go to because i started to feel a cold coming.. So next thing was during the Saturday. It was Horror-Saturday, so our group were Hitchcocks The birds. During the day we had the other half of the competition (in Swedish called poängjakt, like "point hunting"?) and the group were supposed to do a lot of things in 3 hours. Here are just some:
Go to Denmark, do a Titanic-scene on a boat, write a poem, do a synchronized swimming in a pond, feed an animal, collect patches from guys underpants, do a dance, do 20 pushups, have a wet-t-shirt-compitition, do the longest line of your clothes, scare someone, sing a song on a bus during one stop (a Swedish song about the busdriver), do a prank with a Danish guy, get a stranger to sing a song, do a dance for 1 min (Små Grodorna) in the busterminal... and a lot more.
It was a lot of fun! Unfortunaly, I didn't bring my camera that day, and I can't find any picture of us as birds..
In the Sunday afternoon we had childrens movie Sunday. So we went disco bowling. I was Pippi Longstocking!
It all ended with the Oscars (as you might have noticed, they had a movie theme all week ;)) with dinner, prices, songs and dance.
Johanna and I on the red carpet
Mingle before the dinner. Here with Hilda and Anton from my group
The guy I sat next to during the dinner, Fredrik, and I
Our "mentors" (faddrar) won the category Best Mentors
Linnea, Jennie, Filip, Johanna, Ida and I
Unfortunaly our group (group 9) didn't win any price, but I got to know later that we came in second place in almost all the categories; Best Group, Winner of Competition, Best Zero (that's what we are called, before the introweek, now we are "ones" because we are on our first year).
Have a great weekend!
