A White Helsingborg!

Yesterday evening we got snow here in Helsingborg! But it's not only the weather that is getting in a Christmas-mood. My body (read stomach) is also longing for the holidays! Here is some of what I bought last day (Swedish Christmasfood..): pepparkakor, glögg, sylta, vörtbröd, risgrynsgröt, leverpastej, risifrutti juledition, clementiner...

Yesterday evening

And when it's getting cold, you better dress for it, so here is what I wore today:
Knitted top from Primark
Black skirt Gina Tricot
Brown leader boots

Windy windy

Wow, very windy today. Remember this old post, when Charlie couldn't controll his ears? It was about the same today but I didn't get it on camera.
We went to the forest in hope that it was less windy there. It was, but take a look at the trees:

This was two days ago:

And this was today:

All the leaves are allreday gone..!

Snow, rain and hail hell!

Iiih what is happening with the weather!?! Global warming has apperently not come to Sweden yet.. First we got some snow-mixed-rain which then tuned into hail big as peas! Hello it's October, not December!! All this when I was on my bike on my way home.. Had to stop under a roof because the hail started to hurt when it hit my face! Took some pictures with the phone:

Stopping with the bike

Hail big as peas!

When I came inside I looked like a drowned cat and took some more photos but with my camera.

The roof of the garbage room turned white

Some more autumn pictures

Today we went for a long walk together with some friends, walking in Pålsjöskogen (the Pålsjö forest) and then along the sea back home. We stopped for a muffin, doughnut and a Pucko (the name of a chocolate milk drink) and after two hours in the chilly weather we went home for some soup and tea.

Bad quality pictures

Some day ago Charlie and I took a walk in the forest next to the Fredriksdals Slott (Fredriksdal Castle). It was really beautiful weather; the trees has started to turn yellow and red, it was sunny and the air was fresh. Just super afternoon weather! I took some pictures and thought that I could capture the beauty with the camera on my phone, but I couldn't have been more wrong..!

Conclusion: Buy a new phone with better camera :)

Here they are anyway:

Playing in the rain

Since I alreday had decided yesterday that I today was going to take Charlie the dog for a long walk in the forest before school, there was no turning back when I woke up and saw that it poured down rain..
So we got dressed up like kindergarden children with rainboots (well not Charlie) and rainwear, and headed out.

It's actually nice to be in the forest when it's raining, because the trees protect you. Also, there are no runners or old couples that Charlie potentially could trap with his long leash. He searched for rabbits, we took a look at Olympia and Fredriksdal, met kinder garden children and played in puddles.

This was Charlie this morning in bed. The Killer Dog!
(Or it was just his lip that had stuck on the tooth)

Please guide me and my family through Stormy Weather

The last coulple of days we have had some strange weather. One minute it looks like it's going to start to rain:

The next we have sun and you think "oh, maybe I should sit some on the balcony"

And just when you have found a book and opened the balcony door, it looks like this again:

And so it continues..
But it's all becasue the winds are very strong at the moment. I think around 36km/h or 9m/s, so the weather changes all the time. That's why I haven't updated the "Helsingborg today"-picture lately.

I have sometimes written that I think Charlie the dog likes the Swedish climate and weather better than the Spanish, because it's cooler here and there are a lot of forests and parks with grass. But one thing, I know he misses, is the balcony in Barcelona. If you don't remember how it looked, read the post about Charlie's Day, or see below:

He just really enjoyed sitting or laying on the balcony and watching the people, cars and animals on the street below or at the plaza infront of our house.

Charlie could only just get his head out between the bars

The balcony we have now is no fun at all. He can sit on a chair and then barley see over the "walls" or he can stick his nose through the gap between the floor and the walls and look at the neighbors under us that has a cat

Oh, and when I'm already are talking about Barcelona, here are another thing that makes me think of our year in Barcelona:

There is an international food market right now at Stortorget here in Helsingborg, and look at this one :) Viva Catalunya! (And did you know that some week ago, Catalonia became the first province in Spain to forbid bullfighting? Way to go!!)

The name of this post is a line from Stormy Weather with Moneybrother, check it out here:

Wordless Wednesday

Here comes a short movie clip from this summer in Denmark, when Charlie the dog tries to pull a canoe :)

Tonight we hope for clear weather so that we can see some of the northen lights, which they have said can be seen here in Sweden!

Mixed tape

Yesterday was the first day, after I started blogging, that I didn't post anything. Sorry for that. I had planed to though! I just got stuck in an other blog, the one of the Swedish Hundcoachen (The Dog coach) the whole morning, very interesting reading! Then Kasper came home and we found out that the football tickets for the FC Barcelona game on Satuday, had to be picked up 72h before the game. Stress. So we went to Diagonal Mar and FNAC to get the tickets. While in the center I had some things to return to H&M, but ended up with buying things instead.. Kasper found some shoes in Zara and we stoped by the pet shop. Oaawwwww, the puppies are SO cute. In Sweden and Denmark we don't have dogs in pet shops. Or at least I haven't seen it? You buy dogs at kennels and breeders.

Supercute puppies

Funny Diesel advertise. It says:
"SEX SELLS, unfortunately we sell jeans"

Anyway, it took almost all afternoon and when we got home we took Charlie for a long walk and Kasper did some more roller skiing (and I tried too!!). When we came back home, we remembered that we had planed to see Alice in Wonderland and hadn't yet had dinner. So we took the scooter to Cineplex in Vila Olimpica, got our tickets and had a quick dinner at Burger King (yeah I know, Burger King is not as good as McD, but we didn't have time..). What about the movie then..? Well to be honest, it wasn't that good.. Not super funny, not super thrilling, not super anything. We saw it in 3D and that wasn't super either; the glases slide of my nose all the time and afterwards our eyes hurted. And the 3D-glases' sexy-factor = 0.
So, wasted money but now we have tried it. And Johnny Depp is always nice.

Looking good and stable. NOT

Today I babysat Gabriel, and when I was finished Kasper had ran with Charlie to meet me, we then walked home together by the beach. Now we have cleaned the whole apartment, so finaly I have time for the blog :)

Kasper and Charlie walking in Parc de la Vila Olimpica

Oh, and this Thusday we had some strange weather. It started with sun and blue sky, but later some cold weird fog/mist came from the sea. At first I thought there was a fire somewhere and then the volcano-ashes came to my mind. But later, when I went down to the beach, it was just fog. As you can see, you couldn't even see the W-hotel or the teleferico-tower! And from our balcony, Montjuïc had disappeared.

The fog is coming..
And no more Montjuïc

The teleferico-tower and no W-hotel.

I hope that lot of pictures compensates for the blog-less day ;)

Hey Iceland,

keep your ashes to your self! As it is now, Kasper won't be able to fly home from Copenhagen tomorrow, and Charlie and I need him, so please weather God, send the smoke to Greenland instead!

Is it even possible to take the train from Denmark to Spain?? Anyone?

Pan Integral vs. Rugbrød

Now that Jesus has gone to heaven, we can all go back to our everyday-life. Like commenting on the differences between Spain and Scandinavia. For example, take a look at the difference between pan integral in Spain ("whole grain" bread, to the left) and the Scandinavian cousin rugbrød from Denmark (to the right):

Quite cute that they call the left one for "integral".. Not that I eat the Danish rugbrød that much (too sour), but in Sweden we have some breads in the middle, like Lingongrova which is a whole grain bread, but with lingonberries to make it a bit sweet. Lovely lovely Sweden, I miss your bread.

Btw, I should have a webcam installed, because the weather changed 4 times yesterday! When we woke up it was rainy (as you saw on my Bcn Today-pic), but then we had sun and blue sky between 13-18, perfectly for a lunch at the balcony. Then all of a sudden the sky turned black and we had a thunderstorm for about an hour. In time for dinner, we got the blue sky again and a beautiful sunset. Crazy weather-god. Today it looks a bit more stable, but u never know..

OH, and I also found out (or she contacted me) who my visitor from Georgia is! Her name is Diana and she was just blogsurfing when she found my blog :) I do that alot (blogsurfing), you know you find a blog and then just click on a link on that blog etc etc. But quite amazing that she came back and read the post about herself! You can see her blog here.

And I'm sorry Stockholm that I wrote about your weather yesterday (they apperently got snow again today..), I won't mention it again! (Kasper has a theory that if you talk about the good weather, it will change to the worse).

Addicted

Hello, my name is Viktoria and I am addicted!

To TV-series that is. It started with Desperate Housewives, then it just went on. Right now Kasper and I are followers of DH, House, Lost and Bones. I also see Gossip Girl, and thanks to our friend Manasa, we now also see How I met your mother! And you know what, I love it! We also tried the first seasons of Heroes and Prison Break, but nah, the other ones are better.

Btw, do you like the changes in the design on the blog? Kasper did some magic yesterday. Small changes, but it looks good right? :)

Btw2, can you see on the weather picture, that the trees are starting to get small leafs? The signs of spring/summer are always encouraging. I heard that in Stockholm yesterday, they had 10deg and sun. Good for you guys! And today you can feel even better, knowing that we in Bcn have rain today ;)
