Christmas no 1 of 2

Last weekend we celebrated Christmas with Kaspers's parents in Denmark. This is one of the many benefits of having a boyfriend; you can have two Christmas eves!

First we went to a Christmas tree planatation because we wanted to choose and trap a tree our selvs. But all the trees at the plantation were super big or had two tops or were a bit yellowish so it ended with us buying a tree that already had been cut. The rest of the day we spent decorating the tree, eating danish æbleskiver ("apple slizes" even though it does not contain apples or are slized..), having a Danish Christmas dinner and exchanging presents.

I love buying, wrapping and giving gifts, but it's also nice to get some :) This weekend I got a eyeprimer, serum for the hair, coffee/tea cups, NYC book with money for the plane ticket and a fun sushi-set! Thank you very much everyone!

When we came home yesterday, we bought some sushi take-away and of course we had to try out the new set:

It contains two small plates, two sets of chopsticks, and two small bowls for the soya with a sushi-chef man to hold your chopsticks :)

A visit from Denmark

During the last couple of days, Sarah from Denmark has been visiting me and Charlie. Here are some pictures:

The first evening we made our own sushi. Some with avocado, mango, cucumber, crabfish, cream cheese and chili mayo (no, not everything together..).

The next day we went to Ikea and Väla, for some shopping. I got another box for my nail polishes since the one I'm having can't fit everyone anymore.. (separate post). I also got something exciting as gift wrap for Christmas. At Väla I got a pair of gloves, gray knitted from H&M with fleece inside, since it's starting to get really cold here!

Today we went for a fika at Ebbas Fik, before Sarah took the ferry back to Denmark again. At Ebbas everything is from the 50ies and 60ies and all the cakes and cookies are home made. I got a chocolate cake with whipped cream and a coffee, and Sarah a gigant cookie and hot chocolate.

Dating food

No, I'm not dating, but dating food is a common and returning topic among me and my friends. For example, if you are going on a date and are thinking of having sushi; only order the small pieces like small maki rolls or maybe nigiri. You all (?) know how hard it is to bite or devide a large sushi roll with seagrass! And with rice falling out of you mouth and soya dripping, we do advise you not to have sushi on a date if you're not in controll of your chopsticks.

I will return with more inputs on what food to eat on a date.
